Ukrainian reformers complete reforms management course in Moldova
On 4-8 July 2017, Chisinau hosted a seminar on “Security Sector Governance and Reform” organized by the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE).
The Ukrainian delegation consisted of representatives of the Presidential Administration, Verkhovna Rada, Ministry of Defence General Staff, I. Chernyakhovsky National Defence University, and the MOD Reforms Project Office. Other participants of the seminar included representatives of the defence ministries of Belarus, Moldova and Austria, civilian experts from the EU Mission, UN, OSCE, NGOs and Moldovan media.
The program included expert lectures, group discussions, and analysis of defence reform in different countries. The participants of the seminar gained an understanding of reform processes in the security sector, taking into account the post-Soviet format and the war in the Balkans.
The Embassy of Ukraine in Moldova, Ukrainian Ambassador and Military Attaché provided the Ukrainian delegation with support and assistance during their visit.
The Ukrainian delegation was recognized for its strong teamwork during the training. The participants received certificates at the end of the course and were invited to the next session in Serbia.
